Do you believe that the media portrays young black students in a positive light?

I think the media portrays young black students all the time. In my opinion they blow things way out of proportion. For calculation teen the media might say something for 2 seconds. They never stay on that situation for long. For African-Americans we have to live in shame for a couple of months or years. It never really seems to go away. It’s always an extra story with the media. Something they have to make up. They always make it seem like we did something worse than what we really did. I think African-Americans get treated very different through media. We should be treated just as another race but we don’t.

Have I grown since the begin of the school year???

Yes I have grown since the begin of the school. I have grown in basketball and in my school work. I have learned a lot of things that I didn't know when I first started the ninth grade. I learned how to control myself when I feel like going off and not doing anything. I feel as this way is the best way to start your high school career. Being push to the limit in your school work help you in the real world and more. I learned how to go through bad problems and deal with bad situation. I learned how to carry myself very well.

The Most Influential Teacher?

The most influential teacher I have is Ms. Fuller because she push me to the next level and stay on top of the other students. She make sure my grades is on top of the other student and my behavior stay on point. She get me out of trouble if I'm in some trouble. She feed me when I ask for some food she give it to me. She treat me like I'm one of hers. She show me how to deal with real life situations. She have talks with me about things that's going on in my life. Ms. Fuller is the greater teacher ever!!!!

Had Juliet been older, do you think she would have done the same things she did in the play?

No cause Juliet would have been older and more mentor. She did what she did because she was young and didn't know. If she would have been she would have waited and wouldn't have rushed to get married.

Suppose Romeo and Juliet had not acted so hastily getting married. What effect, if any, would that have had on the play?

If Romeo and Juliet didn't want to get married the conflicts that happen in play wouldn't have happen because they didn't love each other as much as they did in the real play. The play wouldn't have been as good then the real play.

Could the same thing happen to two teenagers today? Explain why or why not.

I think it can happen to two teenage today because there are families that fight other families cause they don't like each other. There could be a girl in one family and a boy in the other family might like each other and it turn into love. So the two teenages are between their family fight each other. They might have to keep it a secret like Romeo and Juliet.

Emmett Till Murder

How would you have felt as a teenager back then of you had read about the Till murder in the new paper?

I would feel scared for my live because he did something that wasn't worth all of the things that happen to him. It would make me not want to go inside of a white store and buy something. I would feel that the case was very unfair because the two men who did it should have went to jail instead of being free. For doing something like that to fourteen year old boy, who didn't know no better.

Why does racism exist??

Racism is not just about color. People are racise because they don't like your personalitiy or your sytle of dance for some reason. Racism is all over the world not just in the United States. Racism also is color and religion. Discriminationis apartof racism. Fear starts racism because theyhate something about yu so there going to be scared of yu. White people fear black people because there skin is darker then there's. My opinion is that they feel that anybody that doesn't look like themor beleive in what they beleive in you do not belong. If you ae not one of them you can't have the same power they have. So you can't get the same education, jobs, water, clothes, or anything.

WHAT COULD HIRAM OR ANYONE ELSE DO DIFFERENTLY???

Hiram could have told someone other then his friends and his grandpa his problems. He also should have had told someone who had power of the situation to stop bad things from happening. His friends that he told should have also said something to someone but their opinion was to keep it to them selves and the people he told thought nothing was going to happen. Think if someone who had power of the situation could have stop the drama and did something about it. When Hiram told his grandpa he thought he was doing the right thing but it wasn't very help for because he didn't do anything. Hiram could have told Emmit Til's family or the police. If the police was told about this situation they would have done something like check on Emmit to see if he he was where he is suppose to be.

WHAT SHOULD HIRAM HAVE DONE DIFFRENTLY???

Hiram could have stop talking ti Emmit Til and just leave him alone. There were some things he could have did differently. I see why he accepted him as ah friend because there were a lot of drama in the book. Hiram and R.C. couldn't have went fishing or didn't talk to Emmit and his cousins because talking to them didn't do nothing but start trouble. He burg them their lunch instead of giving them their lunch. Hiram should not let Emmit follow him. He should have told him that he was going somewhere that he wasn't welcome. Hiram should have stayed in Arizona and listened to his father. If he would have listened to his father he wouldn't have to be in no trouble. He wouldn't have to go through the racism and all the other problems in Arizona.
